The Romanian dialects and Romance dialectology Colloquium aims to bring together researchers to exchange their research results on Romance dialectology.

This event has arisen because a good part of the challenges that were at the basis of the methodology of the Romanian Atlas, but also various other dialectological issues are commented in different letters (from Boris Cazacu, Karl Jaberg, Jakob Jud, Emil Petrovici, Marius Sala, Uriel Weinreich) within the project «Beyond Structuralism». Letters to Eugeniu Coseriu and the history of linguistics in the 20th century from the University of Zürich.
